Installing the LAN Card (PCIe x16 Card)
Before you install the LAN card:
• Voltages can be present within the server whenever an AC power source is connected. This
voltage is present even when the main power switch is in the off position. Ensure that the system
is powered down and all power sources have been disconnected from the server prior to installing
a LAN card. Make sure the system is not turned on or connected to AC power.
• Failure to observe these warnings could result in personal injury or damage to the equipment.
Follow these instructions to install the LAN card:
1.
Remove the screw securing the LAN card slot bracket in place and then remove the LAN card slot
bracket.
2.
Insert the LAN card into the selected slot. Make sure the GPU card is properly seated.
3.
Install one screw to secure the LAN card in place.
4.
Repeat step 1 to 3 to install the other LAN cards.
