Installing the GPU Card (SXM2 Card) and Heatsink

Read the following guidelines before you begin to install the GPU Card and Heatsink:
• Voltages can be present within the server whenever an AC power source is connected. This
voltage is present even when the main power switch is in the off position. Ensure that the system
is powered down and all power sources have been disconnected from the server prior to installing
a GPU card. Make sure the system is not turned on or connected to AC power.
• Failure to observe these warnings could result in personal injury or damage to the equipment.
NOTE:
1. Technicians must use a torque screwdriver and follow the screw tightening torque given at corresponding
steps for appropriate tightening of screws when installing the GPU cards and heatsinks.
2. Follow the order indicated below (#0g#1g#2g#3g#4g#5g#6g#7) to populate the GPU cards when
installing the GPU cards.
