Cause
Preset limit incorrectly set
Valve seat (30) is worn
Trigger is manually held open when
the solenoid activates
Weak batteries
Trigger assembly is damaged
Dynamic inlet pressure is exceeded
Solenoid damaged
The temperature limit is exceeded
Faulty solenoid wire connection
Worn nozzle seals
Valve seat (30) is worn
Cause
Fluid flow does not stop upon
reaching the present amount.
the pre-defined limit is exceeded.
An out of range of normal invalid
calibration factor is obtained during
calibration operation.
The battery voltage is too low to
operate the meter.
One of the batteries is installed with
incorrect polarity.
Solution
Set AddL (Additional Dispense Limit)
to a lower value to prevent mishaps.
Replace the valve seat (30).
Latch the trigger during present dis-
penses.
Replace old batteries with four (4)
new batteries - E91 alkaline Ener-
gizer recommended.
Replace the trigger assembly
(18F172).
Reduce the flow rate, fluid viscosity
is causing excessive pressure drop.
Replace the solenoid (18F171).
Limit the operating temperature to
the maximum allowed.
Check and repair, as needed, the
solenoid wire connection to the ter-
minal block within the bezel housing.
Replace the nozzle (4).
Replace the valve seat (30).
Solution
See Troubleshooting, page17.
Release trigger or adjust the limit to
a larger amount.
Recalibrate the meter. Make sure
that the correct unit of measure is
selected and that the correct
volumetric calibration container is
being used.
Contact Graco Customer Service if
recalibration is unsuccessful.
Replace batteries.
Check for proper polarity for all four
(4) batteries, and correct as
needed.
