A Lifecard monitor from Spacelabs Healthcare could show a blank screen and not respond to button presses if a lead is lost during an Extended Recording. In this case, the device generates a series of “dingdong” alarm tones for 15 seconds, and the clock display resumes once the lead is replaced. Additionally, if the battery is partially discharged or the flashcard lacks enough capacity for the selected recording mode (e.g., 7-day recording), it may also affect the device's operation.
