3. If necessary, use the flat end of the wheel wrench
to pry along the edge of the rear wheel cover until it
comes off.
Store the wheel cover in the trunk until the flat tire
is repaired or replaced.
4. Use the wheel wrench to loosen all the rear wheel
nuts. Do not remove them yet.
Notice: Make sure that the jack lift head is in the
correct position or you may damage your vehicle.
The repairs would not be covered by your warranty.
5. Position the jack lift head at the rear jack location
nearest the rear tire. The rear location is about
4 inches (10 cm) in front of the rear wheel opening.
6. Raise the jack head until it fits firmly in the vehicle's
frame, where the notch is located, nearest the flat tire.
7. Put the compact spare tire near the rear tire.
CAUTION:
{
Getting under a vehicle when it is jacked up is
dangerous. If the vehicle slips off the jack, you
could be badly injured or killed. Never get under a
vehicle when it is supported only by a jack.
CAUTION:
{
Raising your vehicle with the jack improperly
positioned can damage the vehicle and even make
the vehicle fall. To help avoid personal injury and
vehicle damage, be sure to fit the jack lift head into
the proper location before raising the vehicle.
8. Raise the vehicle by turning the jack handle
clockwise. Raise the vehicle far enough off the
ground so there is enough room for the compact
spare tire to fit under the vehicle.
