CCA-01 communication adapter
CCA-01 communication adapter provides serial communication interface to
certain unpowered ABB drives frequency converters.

Safety instructions

Obey these safety instructions when using the communication adapter.
WARNING! Ignoring the following instructions can cause physical
injury or death or damage to the equipment.
Use the communication adapter only with an unpowered drive.

General

CCA-01 communication adapter provides safety isolation of both serial communication and control
board power supply. The power supply is taken from the USB port of a PC. The adapter can be used
with several ABB drives PC tools: software loading tools and commissioning tools.

USB cable

Use only the supplied USB cable. Connect both USB connectors to the PC to ensure sufficient
current supply to the adapter and drive control board.

USB drivers

The adapter uses the same USB drivers as ACS-AP-x control panel. See Drive composer start-up
and maintenance PC tool user's manual [3AUA0000094606 (English)] for installation instructions.
