Adjusting Yahoo! Messenger Settings


On the Contacts screen, press / to select "Tools," and then
press the center button.
The Tools screen appears.

Press / to select an item, and then press the center button.
The options appear.

On the Tools screen, you can adjust the following settings and perform the
following operations.

Setting or operation
• Sign in as invisible: If set to "ON," your status is automatically
set to invisible when you sign in. The default setting is "OFF."
• Archive: Selects whether messages are saved after a conversation
ends. The options are "Clear on sign out," or "Do not save."
• Sound Alert: If set to "ON" (default setting), an alert sounds
when a new event comes in.
• Show Music Info: If set to "ON", the name of the track you are
listening to is displayed to your contacts. The default setting is
"OFF."
• Emoticons: When set to "Show" (default setting), emoticons
entered during chats appear on your screen as graphic images.
• Show Time Stamp: If set to "ON" (default setting), a time stamp
is attached to each conversation entries.
