Stay alert, watch what you are doing and apply your common sense to avoid personal
injuries or damage to the tool during operation.
• Keep clothing, jewelry, hair and other articles away from moving parts as they easily
can get caught in moving parts.
• Do not use the tool when you are tired or under the infl uence of drugs, alcohol or
medication.
Do not overreach while using the tool. Proper footing and balance enable better
control of the tool in unexpected situations.
• Use clamps or other practical ways to support or secure the workpiece to a stable
platform. Do not hold the workpiece by hand or against your body, otherwise it may
lead to a loss of control or even personal injury.

4. SPECIFIC SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

The maximum capacity of this pipe bender is 12 tons. DO NOT exceed this rated capacity.
Never apply excessive force to a workpiece.
Always place the tool on a solid, fl at, level surface or a workbench which is capable
of supporting the total weight of the tool, the workpiece and all the other additional
accessories as well.
This tool should be bolted down safely to the workbench being used.
Make sure that there is adequate clearance around the tool for the movement of the pipe
during operation.
Keep your hands away from the Die, Guide Rollers and other moving parts to avoid
personal injury during operation.
When bending a large pipe or moving the pipe bender, always work with a second person.
During the process of bending a large pipe, one person should keep holding and balancing
the pipe as the other one is pumping the handle.
Only use accessories that are rated to handle the force exerted by this tool during
operation.
Inspect the tool before each use. If bent, broken or cracked parts and leaks are found, do
not use the tool.
Make sure that all the bolts and nuts being used are safely tightened.
Do not make any modifi cations to the tool.
Do not top up the bottle jack with brake fl uid, mixed fl uid or any other improper fl uid. Use
high-quality hydraulic jack oil only.
5. PRECAUTIONS FOR HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
Do not attempt to repair the hydraulic system by yourself.
Always wear proper work gloves and eye protection when performing an inspection for
leaks.
Immediately seek medical attention if the hydraulic fl uid accidentally penetrates the skins
as it otherwise will result in serious infections or toxic reactios.
6. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
CAUTION! Check the hydraulic fluid level in the jack before initially operating the tool. Then
carefully test the jack to make sure it works properly prior to actual use. If the jack does not
work properly, deflate excess air from its hydraulic system. Please refer to the section of "bleed
the bottle jack" in this manual.
This pipe bender is designed to bend water pipes and heavy gauge galvanized pipes to a
maximum angle of 90°. When bending a conduit or a thin-walled pipe, fi ll the conduit or the
pipe with sand and cap both ends before bending to minimize kinks or creases which may
occur during operation.
7. ASSEMBLY.
Always keep the bottle jack in its upright position while using the tool.
