TesiraFORTÉ Fan Replacement
This article will walk you through the process to replace the fan inside of a TesiraFORTÉ unit. Please read this
document carefully in its entirety before beginning as there are delicate components inside the TesiraFORTÉ.
Locate the fan
The fan is located at the front of the Chassis for the TesiraFORTÉ, on the left side of the unit if you are looking straight
on at the device. Make sure that all cables are disconnected from the unit before you remove the Chassis from the rack,
and verify that the device has been powered down.
Open the chassis
Using a Phillips-head screwdriver, remove the three screws shown below from the back of the TesiraFORTÉ chassis.
Lift off the top plate to remove it and set aside.

- Page 4 Insert the fan assembly back into the TesiraFORTÉ by hooking the fan underneath the lip of the TesiraFORTÉ frame and push inward on the bottom of the assembly to move it into place. - Page 5 Line up the front panel with the plate and press it back into place until the front panel latches are engaged. Use caution to avoid damage to the ribbon cables. - Page 6 Reconnect the white ribbon cable to its receiving connector located on the main circuit board. Press straight down and take care to not bend the cable to the point of damage.
