    DP-Branch / Sink Figure 2. Test Board Setup The TUSB564RNQ EVM has a legacy Type-A USB receptacle to connect to a USB hub or device and a DisplayPort receptacle to connect to DisplayPort sink. The EVM uses TI's TPS65986 device for USB Type-C PD control and to configure the TUSB564.

    TUSB564RNQ EVM Configuration www.ti.com TUSB564RNQ EVM Configuration This section provides the configuration options available in the TUSB564RNQ EVM. TUSB564RNQ EVM Default Configuration Table 1 lists the default configuration pins for the TUSB564 device. Configuration settings may need to be optimized depending on the amount of loss of each channel in the system. The EVM is configured to GPIO mode by default.

    5-V external power is applied through J8 only if stand-alone operation is desired. If testing DisplayPort only, or if bypassing VBUS power, the EVM must be powered through J8 (a 5-V, 1-A input).
