4. Troubleshooting

4-3 Checkpoints before service request

SYMPTOM
Oven is not working
(No power, No display)
Cooktop is not working
(Ignition problem)
Oven temperature is
increasing too slow
Oven temperature
is increasing too fast
Keypad is notworking
properly
DIAGNOSIS
* Measure an input voltage . (120V)
* Measure an input voltage of power cord
terminals .
* Measure voltage of connector(CNP100) on
Main PCB L1~N : 120V
* Make sure that the relay on Main PCB is
working correctly .
* Measure voltage regulator(REG101) on
Main PCB .
- REG101 : DC 5V
* Check whether gas valve is opened
* Check whether ignition spark is generated
from the electrode .
* Check whether harness is connected to
Broil, Bake and convection heater
(Disconnected or Loosen)
* Measure the resistance at the terminals of
the hot surface igniter (345Ω)
* Measure the amperage of Safety valve
(3 .3/3 . 6 Amps)
* Make sure that heater relay is working
correctly and pattern on Main PCB is
undamaged .
* Check whether temperature is rising over
400˚F(202˚C) within 10 minutes at room
temperature .
* Check whether harness is disconnected or
shorted .
* Make sure that keypad cable on Sub PCB
is connected correctly .
* Make sure keypad connector is not shorted
or damaged .
* Check circuit breaker .
* Make sure that the power cord is
connected .
* Replace or repair if harness is loose or
disconnected .
* Check if the harness inserted into the
relay on Main PCB
* Replace or repair harness .
* Replace Main PCB .
* Replace or repair harness .
* Replace or repair Main PCB .
* Make sure that valve is opened .
* Make sure that terminal of electrode is
connected to the spark module .
* Replace the electrode .
(in case of broken electrode or cut-off
wire .)
* Replace the spark module .
* Repair and replace harness .
* Replace the hot surface ignitor .
* Replace the safety valve .
* Replace or repair relay .
* Replace or repair Main PCB .
* If relay on Main PCB is shorted replace
Main PCB .
* Replace the harness .
* Replace the keypad in case it is shorted or
damaged .
* Replace or repair the keypad in case
cable is loose or disconnected .
