Filling refrigerant

The refrigerant in the internal refrigerant cylinder is
used for filling the vehicle air conditioning system.
i
Refrigerant can only be added to a vehicle air condi-
tioning system under a vacuum. The vacuum phase
must therefore be performed before filling.

Open EV3 and EV6.
Refrigerant flows from the internal refrigerant cylin-
der through valves V4 and V2, through the solenoid
valves EV6 and EV3, the HP valve (when filling on the
high pressure side) and along the service hose T 2
into the vehicle air conditioning system.

The filling quantity is checked by the scales (8),
which end the filling process after the quantity previ-
ously entered in the service process.
