Inserting batteries
Insert the two supplied R6 (size AA)
batteries, matching the polarities shown
below.
Notes
• Do not mix an old battery with a new one or
mix different types of batteries.
• If you do not use the remote control for a long
period of time, remove the batteries to avoid
damage from battery leakage and corrosion.
Attaching the speaker pads
(MHC-GPX7 only)
Attach the supplied speaker pads to the
bottom of the speakers to stabilize the
speakers and to prevent them from
slipping.
Note
Before you attach the supplied speaker pads to
the bottom of the speakers, be sure to select the
speaker positioning you want (page 11).

To obtain optimum performance from the
system, we recommend you to place the
speakers as shown below.

B Front speaker (left)
C Front speaker (right)
D Satellite speaker (left)
E Satellite speaker (right)
F Subwoofer (left)
G Subwoofer (right)
H Subwoofer

Before you place the satellite speaker on
top of the front speaker, be sure to put the
Spacer B on the front speaker. See step 1
of "Installing" (page 11) on how to install
the Spacer A.
