A recent article in Network World lists D-Link as a strategic vendor for affordable Gigabit Ethernet solutions.
The article reveals that "according to Dell'Oro Group, the average Gigabit Ethernet port cost $544 in the
third quarter of 2001..."
"Meanwhile, vendors.... such as D-Link offer 1000Base-T switches priced between $90 and $200 per port,
making the technology affordable."
