Also any tampering of the internal antenna will void the FCC certification and your warranty. Refer to the “Appendix D.     You can install or remove each wireless feature by yourself. If you install an unauthorized wireless adapter that is not approved for use with the ThinkPad X40 Series computer, the computer does not start, but only displays an error message and emits beeps.
