Possible Cause
Excessive movement was
detected during measurement.
Improper inflation or rapid
pressure decrease during
measurement
Irregular Heartbeat
(arrhythmia) was detected
during measurement
The cuff is not properly
applied
Solution
Wait approximately 20 minutes to
allow the vessels to return to
normal; attempt new
measurement taking care not to
move during test
Check that the monitor is firmly
attached to cuff and is not loose;
inspect cuff to ensure there are
no rips or tears
This monitor may not be
appropriate for individuals with
serious arrhthymias; consult with
your physician for proper monitor
use and evaluation
Reapply the cuff properly and
attempt a new measurement
