Before playback the machine
announces "You have X new
messages" and begins to play
them. New messages are played
first. Previously played messages
are announced "You have X old
messages".

New message display

At the handset:
When you have a new answering machine message the
You have x NEW Messages
screen shows
At the base:
The Messages light flashes and the total number of
messages will be displayed.

If the memory becomes full when a caller is leaving a
message, they will hear 'Memory full. Thank you for calling'
and the answering machine will hang up. The answering
machine will switch to Answer Only mode.
