Preface

The product is a pendant type PLL infrared wireless microphone.
It can be used in combination with the following infrared products (hereinafter, receiver). (as of
June 2009)
U.S. and Canadian fields: Infrared Receiver (WX-LR100), Infrared Receiver/Amplifier (WX-
LA20, WX-LA50), Infrared Wireless Powered Speaker (WX-LP100)
European and Asian fields: Infrared Receiver (WX-LR100/A, WX-LR100/B), Infrared Receiver/
Amplifier (WX-LA20, WX-LA50), Infrared Wireless Powered Speaker (WX-LP100)
• The use of a PLL synthesized system allows selecting one out of four available frequencies
(1 of 4 channels).
• The transmitting channel is changed by operating a channel selector.
• The product can derive its power supply from a rechargeable battery (AA size), a dry cell
(AA/LR6 size) or a charger (option). (☞ page 30)
• Connection of the charger (WX-LZ150) to this product allows our nickel metal hydride bat-
tery to be charged.
• Connecting an external microphone or any other external sound source to the product's
microphone input terminal or external input terminal will allow you to transmit audio to the
receiver.
• The audio level (volume) output to the receiver can be adjusted on the microphone.

Caution about interception of transmission

This product is a wireless system using infrared, and the transmission and reception of audio
signals are possible within the range that the infrared can reach.
If any third party is within the range of the infrared, the audio signals can reach anywhere
unless there are obstacles (such as walls). Therefore, if there is no action taken to prevent
interception, malicious third parties may listen to content by intercepting the infrared
intentionally.
In order to handle this problem, you may set up infrared shielding materials such as shade cur-
tains to close the transmitting and receiving range to reduce the interception.
We would like you to fully understand the risks of using this product without taking precautions
for interception, and we recommend you take your own preventative measures.
If interception occurs due to negligence or the specifications of the infrared wireless, we shall
not take any responsibility for the damages that are caused thereby.
