Removing the Internal Controller Card
To release the retention bar, depress the latch and rotate the bar outward.

Detach the ribbon cable by steadying the expansion cage with one hand and

grasping the edges of the connector firmly with the other and then removing it
from its receptacle.
Remove the controller card and set it aside.

Replacing the Internal Controller Card
Remove the new card from its protective packaging. Avoid contact with metal

surfaces on the card.
Install the controller card into the full-height closest to the metal slot by grasping
2
only the edges of the card and pressing firmly until it is properly seated and you
hear it snap into place.
Replace the ribbon cable by steadying the expansion cage with one hand and

grasping the edges of the connector firmly with the other and then inserting it
into its receptacle.
