ADDITIONAL SPECIFIC WARNINGS

1. Specific safety rules
1) Secure the workpiece. A workpiece clamped with clamping devices or in a
vice is held more secure than by hand.
2) Do not work with materials containing asbestos. Asbestos is considered
carcinogenic.
3) Take protective measures when potentially harmful dust (combustible or
explosive) may develop during work. For example, some dusts are
regarded as carcinogenic. Wear a dust mask and work with dust/chip extrac-
tion when connectable.
4) Keep your workplace clean. Certain blends of materials are particularly
dangerous. Dust form light alloys can burn or explode.
5) Always wait until the tool has come to a complete stop before placing it
down. The blade can jam and lead to loss of control over the power tool.
6) Before any work on the tool (e.g., maintenance, blade change, etc.) as
well as during transport and storage, set lock off button to the centre
position. Unintentional actuation of the On/Off switch can lead to injuries.
7) Do not open the battery. Danger of short circuiting.
8) Protect the battery against heat, continuous sun irradiation and fire.
There is a danger of explosion.
9) Do not short-circuit the battery. There is danger of explosion.
10) In case of damage and improper use of the battery, vapours may be
emitted. Provide fresh air and seek medical help in case of complaints. The
vapors can irritate the respiratory system.
2. Specific rules for cordless reciprocating saws
1) Keep hands away from cutting area. Do not reach under the material
being cut. The proximity of the blade to your hand is hidden from your sight.
2) Keep hands from between the gear housing and saw blade clamp
(plunger). The reciprocating blade clamp (blade plunger) can pinch your
fingers.
3) Do not use dull or damaged blades. Bent blades can break easily or cause
kickback.
4) Before starting to cut, turn tool "ON" and allow the blade to come to full
speed. Tool can chatter or vibrate if blade speed is too slow at beginning of
cut and possibly kickback.
5) Always wear safety goggles or eye protection when using this tool. Use a
dust mask or respirator for applications which generate dust.
6) Secure material before cutting. Never hold it in your hand or across your
legs. Small or thin material may flex or vibrate with the blade, causing loss of
control.
7) Make certain all adjusting screws (knobs) and the blade clamp are tight
before making a cut. Loose screws and clamps can cause the tool or blade to
slip and loss of control may result.
8) When removing the blade from the saw, avoid contact with skin and use
proper protective gloves when handling the blade or other accessories.
Accessories may be hot after prolonged use.
3. Specific rules for battery and charger
1) To charge your battery, use only the charger provided with your tool. Do
not substitute any other charger.
2) Do not disassemble charger or operate the charger if it has received a
