Auto-answer Option
The COMfortel™ H-500 has an auto-answer
option which allows you to either disable
(turn-off) or enable (turn-on) answering
a call by taking the headset off of the
charging cradle. The headset is supplied
with this function turned on. When the
auto-answer is turned off, you can answer
the call by pressing the 'Call hook' button
on the headset.
Turn off Auto-answer option
1. Put the headset on the base unit's charging cradle.
2. When the headset is on the charging cradle, press the volume down button
of the headset for more than 2 seconds.
3. To indicate it is disabled, the LED on the headset will blink blue five times.
Turn on Auto-answer option
1. Put the headset on the base unit's charging cradle.
2. When the headset is on the charging cradle, press the volume up button of
the headset for more than 2 seconds.
3. To indicate it is enabled, the LED on the headset will blink blue three times.

If required, plug the handset cord from the desk
phone into the handset port of the COMfortel™
H-500. (You may need to do this if your desk phone
doesn't have a dedicated headset port. If your desk
phone has a headset port, it is not neccessary to plug
the handset into the COMfortel™ H-500).
Connect the telephone cord (supplied) into the
headset port or handset port.
Connection facility for the DHSG/EHS adapter
