OVERVIEW / ENVIRONMENT

BIOS version 3.32 for the R1350 blade adds support for new features on the R1350 blade and corrects
minor BIOS issues.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

The R1350 Blade BIOS is updated to version 3.32. This version adds support for:
•
Fix for the Video Memory Allocation to the OS – Fix issue where any selection of video
memory allocation only allocated 64M. BIOS 3.32 will allocate video memory selection as follows:
•
64M = 64M
•
128M = 128M
•
Turbo = 224M
•
Other added features and fixes:
•
Changed DMI REV 1.0 and REV 2.0 Strings
•
Change BIOS ID String
•
Changed SIGN ON MESSAGE STRINGS
•
Changed the Setup Option Processor Power Management to be disabled always.
•
Changed the Revision Numbers in Global .STR from 3.30 (To Appear in Setup)

RESOLUTION

You must have the following items to update your BIOS:
•
An external drive, such as a USB flash drive or USB floppy drive.
Note: You must be able to boot from your external drive. If you are using a flash drive, ensure
that you can boot to MS-DOS® from the drive. If you are using a USB floppy drive, ensure that
you have a bootable DOS floppy disk.
