Adjust the ringer

Ringer volume

You can adjust the ringer volume from fi ve levels, or
you can turn off the ringtone. If you turn off the ring
tone, new call information appears on the screen,
but the phone does not ring.
To adjust a handset ringer volume
1. Press beneath Menu on the screen.
2. Press and scroll to HS Settings, and then
press beneath Select.
3. Press and scroll to Ring Setup, and then
press beneath Select.
4. Press and scroll to Volume, and then press
beneath Select.
5. Press or and scroll to the volume of
your choice, and then press

To adjust the base ringer volume
• Press on the side of the base.
The volume level briefl y appears on the screen.

Signal strength Blinks if the handset is
out of range of the base.
Battery strength Black = fully charged
White = depleted.
Line in Use The phone line is engaged.
Speakerphone on The handsfree speaker-
phone is on.
Missed calls One or more calls were
(Caller ID service) unanswered. Flashes if
the Caller ID list is full.
Messages There are one or more
voice messages.
(Voicemail service)
Keypad locked The keypad is locked.
Alarm clock set The alarm is set to ring.
Flasher and bed The flashing and bed vibrating
vibrator ring alert
ringer feature is enabled.
M e s s a g e s There are one or more
(answering machine) answering machine
messages.
