Selecting the Reference Level
For the measurement, you can select from various reference levels:
The rear edge of the measuring tool (e.g. when placing against walls)
The centre of the tripod thread (14) (e.g. for tripod measurements)
The front edge of the measuring tool (e.g. when measuring from a table edge)

Basic Settings Menu
In the Basic settings menu, you can find the following basic settings:
– Changing the reference level (see "Selecting the Reference Level", page 31)
– Switching audio signals on and off
– Switching Vibration on and off
– Setting display brightness
– Switching on and off battery saver mode
– Changing the unit of measurement
– Setting the language
– Grade measurement calibration (see "Accuracy Check", page 34)

– Deleting Memory
