PRIOR TO FIRST USE

Remove all packaging and transport materials from
the inside and outside of the appliance.
Check that the appliance has no visible damage and
that no parts are missing.
Clean all parts that come into contact with food
before using the appliance for the first time (or after
prolonged storage). See "Cleaning".
Please note: It is not necessary to place the mixing
bowl (1) in the freezer before use, as the appliance has
a built-in compressor (11), which cools the ice cream or
sorbet mixture.

USING THE APPLIANCE

Assembling the appliance
1.
Place the mixing bowl in the fixed bowl (3).
2.
Mount the paddle (2) in the mixing bowl in a
crosswise position. The end with the collar and the
square hole should point upwards.
3.
Mount the see-through lid (17) on top of the
mixing bowl. Make sure that the top of the paddle
is securely fixed in the hole in the middle of the
lid. Turn the lid slightly clockwise, so it locks into
position.
4.
Place the cover (16) over the filling port (15) in the
lid.
5.
Mount the motor section (14) by inserting the
spindle (13) into the hole in the lid. The 5-pin plug
(12) on the motor section will slide into place in the
socket (4) on the compressor.
Procedure for making ice cream or sorbet
1.
Check that the appliance is correctly assembled.
2.
Connect the appliance.
3.
Press the on/off button (9) to switch on the
appliance. The appliance is now in standby and
the display (6) shows "60:00", which indicates the
standard setting of 60 minutes.
4.
Set the desired preparation time by pressing the
timer button (7) a number of times. The preparation
time can be set at 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 or 60 minutes.
5.
Press the start/stop button (8) to commence
preparation. The green mixing indicator (5) lights up
and the appliance starts mixing. The display counts
down from the set preparation time.
o
The appliance must be switched on before the
ice cream or sorbet mixture is added, as the
mixture may otherwise freeze solid, making it
impossible for the paddle to turn!
6.
Add the ice cream or sorbet mixture by pouring it
through the filling port.
o
Make sure there is always at least 2.5 cm
between the mixture and the top of the bowl, as
the mixture expands when frozen.
o
After two minutes of mixing, the red cooling
indicator (10) comes on, and the appliance starts
cooling.
o
Do not add ingredients such as chocolate
pieces, nuts or alcohol through the filling port
until the ice cream is almost ready.
7.
Leave the appliance to cool until the end of the set
preparation time.
o
You can increase the preparation time during
preparation by pressing the timer button a
number of times. Each time you press the
button, the preparation time increases by 5
minutes.
o
You can stop the appliance before the set
time by holding down the start/stop button for
3 seconds or by pressing the on/off switch.
Caution! Do NOT stop the appliance during
preparation, as the ice cream mixture may freeze
solid and prevent the paddle from turning when
the appliance is switched on again.
