damp hands.
Do not expose the appliance to direct sunlight,
high temperatures, humidity, dust or corrosive
substances.
Never leave the appliance unattended when it is
switched on.
Keep the appliance under constant supervision
while in use. Keep an eye on children in the
vicinity of the appliance when it is being used. The
appliance is not a toy.
The appliance is not to be used by persons with
reduced sensitivity, physical or mental disabilities or
persons who are unable to use the appliance, unless
supervised or instructed by a person responsible for
their safety.
Use only accessories supplied with the appliance or
those recommended by the manufacturer.
Use
Always place the appliance on a dry, level and firm
surface, and well away from the edges. There must
be a clearance of at least 8 cm from the sides of the
appliance to ensure sufficient ventilation.
The appliance must not be turned upside down.
Ensure that the appliance is correctly assembled
before switching it on.
Avoid pressing the on/off switch of the appliance
several times in quick succession, as this can
damage the compressor. Always leave the appliance
running for at least 5 minutes at a time.
Do not place warm food in the bowl. Always cool
warm, freshly prepared ice cream or sorbet mixture
(for example in the fridge) before pouring it into the
appliance. Do not cool the mixture in the freezer,
as a very cold mixture can prevent the paddle from
turning freely.
Never fill the mixing bowl to the rim with ice cream or
sorbet mixture, as the mixture expands when frozen.
UK
Do not use the mixing bowl if it is cracked or
damaged in any way.
Never put tools or your fingers into the filling port
while the appliance is switched on.
If you wish to continue cooling the finished ice
cream in the appliance, you have to dismantle the
motor section as it will otherwise be damaged.
Always switch off the appliance before dismantling
the motor section.
Do not use metal tools to remove the ice cream
from the mixing bowl, as they can scratch the inner
coating of the bowl.
Never insert anything into the openings of the
appliance.
Cord and plug
Do not let the cord hang out over the edge of the
work surface.
Check that it is not possible to pull or trip over the
cord or any extension cord.
Keep the cord and appliance away from heat
sources, hot objects and naked flames.
Turn off the appliance and remove the plug from the
socket before cleaning, or when the appliance is not
in use. Avoid pulling the cord when removing the
plug from the socket. Instead, hold the plug.
Ensure that the cord is fully extended.
The cord must not be twisted or wound around the
appliance.
Check regularly that neither cord nor plug is
damaged and do not use if they are, or if the
appliance has been dropped or damaged in any
other way.
If the appliance, cord or plug have been damaged,
have the appliance inspected and if necessary
repaired by an authorised repairer. Never try to
repair the appliance yourself. Please contact the
store where you bought the appliance for repairs
under the guarantee. Unauthorised repairs or
modifications to the appliance will invalidate the
guarantee.
