    Manage the FaxPress Enterprise the same way you manage the other servers in your environment. The company policy for hot fixes should also apply to the FaxPress Enterprise. Be aware, however, that some hot fixes may be incompatible with normal FaxPress Enterprise on a case by case basis. For example, some security hot fixes may disable network ports needed by the FaxPress Enterprise, or change the system Print spooler to a setting other than autostart.

    • The FaxPress Enterprise no longer appears in the Enterprise client FaxPress Plus. This is due to a blocked port on the FaxPress Enterprise.     Connecting the FaxPress Enterprise to the Network The FaxPress Enterprise requires an eight-conductor RJ-45 data cable. Use the RJ-45 cable provided by your telco carrier. To connect the FaxPress Enterprise to your network and T1 line, follow these steps: 1. Connect the network cable to the FaxPress Enterprise server’s network port.

  • Page 21 Very infrequently, the T1 line will not synchronize properly between the FaxPress Enterprise and the central office. This will cause issues with sending and receiving multiple page faxes. In this case, the FaxPress Enterprise fax board can be configured to synchronize with the connected T1 line.     Using Remote Desktop Microsoft’s Remote Desktop feature, enabled by default on the FaxPress Enterprise, allows you to access the Enterprise’s Embedded Windows operating system from any other network workstation with Remote Desktop installed. The Remote Desktop feature is installed by default on Windows XP machines, and is optional on other Windows operating systems.
