HOW TO CHECK THE MANIFOLD PRESSURE ON A GOODMAN GMEC800403ANAA IT DOES NOT HAVE A SERVICE PORT TO CHECK THE PRESSURE, ONLY A PLASTIC PLUG BUT NO ALLEN SCREW TO LOOSEN
To check the manifold pressure on a Goodman GMEC80 without a service port, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the gas to the furnace using the manual gas shutoff valve external to the furnace.
2. Connect a calibrated water manometer or appropriate gas pressure gauge to the gas piping drip leg or the gas valve inlet pressure tap, as shown in the diagram for the White-Rodgers Model 36J54 gas valve.
3. Turn the gas back on and operate the furnace with the burners on.
4. Measure the manifold pressure using the connected manometer while the burners are firing.
Make sure all connections are tight and leak-free during measurement.
