liquid food or powder) and you want to subtract the weight of the bowl
from the weight of the food, use the Tare Function.

Tare Function

1. Switch on the scale, weigh the bowl and leave the scale on.
2. Push the TARE button (5) to reset the display to 0 (zero). On the
display the word TARE will appear if the weight of the bowl is more
than 100 g. The display will show the unit (oz, lb, g resp. ml) only, if
the bowl is less than 100 g.
3. Place additional food in the bowl. The weight of the additionally placed
food will be displayed. If necessary, repeat these steps by pressing the
TARE button again.
Note: By using the tare function, only the display will be reset to zero. The
previously weighed value will be stored internally. That means, if 1 kg has
been weighed, you can only weigh 4 kg in addition. The maximum weight
is 5 kg.

Switching Off


If you do not weigh any object, the kitchen scale automatically turns off
after approximately 60 seconds.

When pressing the TARE button (5) for 2 seconds, the kitchen scale
will turn off immediately.
