Cable winder

A cable winder 5 is arranged on the base 4 of the appliance . This winder 5
allows you to adjust the length of the cable to your local requirements .
CAUTION – PROPERTY DAMAGE!
Always guide the cable through the corresponding recess on the base 4,
which is intended for this purpose, in order to ensure stability .
NOTE
Always wind the power cable around the cable winder 5 in clockwise direction .
This is the only way that you can reduce the length of the cable to a minimum,
allowing you to guide the cable through the recess in the base 4 (see fig . 1) .

Initial use

WARNING – RISK OF INJURY!
Always and only use freshly drawn mains water in the kettle! Do not consume
any water that is not certified as potable . If you do, you are taking a risk
with your health!

all packaging materials have been removed from the appliance .
1) Open the lid by pressing on the release button 1 .
2) Fill the appliance with water up to the MAX mark and let it come to a full
boil once – as described in the next section .
3) After it has boiled, pour this water away .
