2. Enter Service Mode.
3. Remove the base cover.

NOTE: This procedure applies only to computers shipped with an M.2 2230 solid-state drive installed in M.2 slot two.
The following image(s) indicate the location of the M.2 2230 solid-state drive and provides a visual representation of the
removal procedure.
Steps
1. Remove the screw (M2x3) that secures the M.2 2230 solid-state drive and M.2 2230 thermal shield to the system board.
2. Slide and lift the M.2 2230 thermal shield off the system board.
3. Slide and lift the M.2 2230 solid-state drive off the system board.

Installing the M.2 2230 solid-state drive

Prerequisites
If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation process.

NOTE: M.2 card slot two can only support an M.2 2230 solid-state drive.
