Installation - Buehler Vector Manual

Equipment Damage. Two persons are recommended to safely lift the unit from the shipping
carton. Follow local safety practices to lift the Vector Power Head unit from the shipping carton.
Improper lifting can result in machine damage.
Personal Injury. Improper lifting of the Vector Power Head can result in personal injury.
The Vector Power Head is bolted to a wood base for protection during shipping. Open areas are provided
at the corners of the base for ease of lifting. Lift the Vector Power Head out of the carton and position it
on a table so it overhangs on the edge. Remove the bolts securing the Vector Power Head to the wood
base.

Installation

Equipment Damage. Follow all locally approved procedures and safety practices when lifting and
installing this machine. Improper lifting can result in machine damage.
The Vector Power Head is designed for use with the Alpha and Beta Grinder Polishers and the MetaServ
250 Grinder Polisher. Select a location for your Vector Power Head that provides an adequate working
space, a power source, water connections, and a drain.
Allow 6 inches (152 mm) of open space on both sides of the grinder polisher and at least 20 inches
(508 mm) of open space above the platen base.
A clearance of 30 inches (762 mm) from the table surface to the bottom of any overhead cabinets
is required when installing the Vector Power Head.
Install the following in the order shown:
1. Installation on a single or dual grinder polisher base
2. Plumbing, including water and drain connections
3. Air connections
4. Electrical
