5. When rolling the Pen over the text, do not press down
too hard.
6. Don't scan too quickly.
Troubleshooting
After you scan text, the Pen processes the image of what
has been scanned and attempts to recognize the various
letters and words from it.
The recognized words are displayed on the Pen and
then you can perform any of the Pen's functions on the
scanning results, such as: view words in the large font
display, hear words read out loud, lookup words in the
dictionaries, view the syllable division of words and hear
the letters of a word spelled out loud.

Scanning Limitations
The Pen allows you to scan printed English text only, 6-
22 points in size, in a wide variety of fonts and in all dark
colors on light contrasting backgrounds, except for red
