• Connect the AC power adapter to the charging platform. The green indicator will
light.
• Align the floodlight to face toward the front of the charging platform. Slide the
flashlight into the charging platform until a click is heard.
• The red light on the charging platform indicates the battery is properly inserted
into the charging platform and charging. The light remains red until the battery is
fully charged. At full charge, the light turns green. The total time to full charge
varies depending on the remaining charge in the battery pack.
• The charging platform provides a trickle charge to a fully charged battery pack.
Run-Time between Charges
Flashlight – 9 hours, full floodlight – 9.75 hours, half-floodlight – 13 hours, dual-light
6 hours.
Replacement Battery Installation
1. Remove the tail-cap and shake out the old RED battery.
2. Take a fully charged RED replacement battery and align the arrow on the battery
with the notch in the flashlight body.
3. Slide the battery into the flashlight and replace the tail-cap. The flashlight is now
ready for use.
• Always make sure the battery tab and the notch in the housing are aligned.
• Never force the battery pack into the flashlight; this can cause the battery pack
to become lodged in the light housing.

Chemical Proof Housing
The XPR-9864 housing is chemical proof to most automotive and industrial
chemicals. For example: Potassium hydroxide, hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid,
isopropyl alcohol, Freon, gasoline, kerosene, diesel fuel, antifreeze, hydraulic fluid
and others. In addition to Heptanes, Acetone, Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK), Ethyl
Acetate, Methylene Chloride, Ethylene Glycol, Benzene, Toluene. Avoid prolonged
exposure and clean immediately.

The charging platform and light are electromagnetically compatible with FCC
regulations CFR-47, Part 15, Sub-Part B and Class A.
Battery
Nightstick is powered by a Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) battery pack and is earth
friendly so it can be disposed of in municipal waste without harm to the
environment. (Excluding California)
CHARGER PLATFORM MOUNTING
Mounting the charger platform requires two #8 screws (not provided). Use the
Bayco supplied 12VDC fused auto adapter plug for temporary vehicle installations.
For permanent wiring, the installation must be fused using a 3-amp in-line fuse. The
DC input terminal that connects to the base of the charger platform is center-
positive. Installation should be performed by a professional installer.
TIPS TO EXTEND BATTERY LIFE
The Nightstick NiMH battery pack does not have a memory effect. Charging the
battery pack often helps extend its useful life.
• A new Nightstick or one that has not been used for a long period of time, may
not accept a full charge initially. This is normal and does not indicate a problem.
Fully discharge and then charge the unit several times to condition the battery
pack for full capacity.
• Charge the unit after each use, whether the Nightstick is fully discharged or not.
• Store the Nightstick at room temperature

Limited 2 Year Warranty
XPR Intrinsically Safe products are warranted to be free from defects in
workmanship and materials for two years from the date of purchase, this includes
the LEDs, housing, lenses, electronics and switches. The battery and charger are
warranted for one year. Normal wear and abuse are excluded.
Product Use - If this product is used for rental purposes, the warranty term is
reduced to 90 days from the date of purchase.
Not Covered
• The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or cosmetic damage. The
warranty also does not cover damages which occurred in shipment or failures
which are caused by accidents, misuse, abuse, faulty installation and lightning
damage.
• Consequential damages, incidental damages or incidental expenses, including
damage to property. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of
incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may
not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, which may vary
from state to state.
• This warranty does not apply to certain Bayco professional products that carry a
specific warranty unique to those products.

Contact Bayco for USA warranty claims. Call 800-233-2155 or email
cs@baycoproducts.com and Bayco Customer Service will provide a Return Goods
Authorization (RGA) to facilitate rapid warranty action. After receiving the RGA,
send the product (shipping prepaid) to BAYCO • 640 S. SANDEN BLVD • WYLIE,
TEXAS • 75098. Include a dated proof of purchase and a brief description of the
defect with your name, address and phone number. Your product will either be
repaired or replaced at the option of Bayco and returned as soon as practical, but
no later than 45 days after being received by Bayco.
