If there are other heating appliances in
the room, the combustion air intakes
must guarantee the necessary volume
of air for correct operation of all the
devices.
In the event that one or more extraction
fans (suction hoods) are present
and functioning in the room where
the stove is located, combustion
malfunctions due to the lack of
combustion air could occur.
Stoves of the "Hermetic" series
In this case the following is possible as
an alternative:
• c h a n n e l t h e c o m b u s t i o n a i r
using a coaxial exhaust pipe for
the expulsion of the fumes and
withdrawal of the air; therefore it
is not necessary to create a classic
air intake in the room (fig. 5.4c A, B
= Air inlet C, D = Fume outlet);
• connect the combustion air inlet
of the stove to the air intake with a
dedicated duct (Fig. 5.4d).

5.5 Fume evacuation

The stove works with the combustion
chamber in depression, therefore it is
essential to make sure that the flue
gas exhaust is sealed tight (operation
to be performed by the installer).
The stove must be connected to its
own non-shared fume evacuation
duct suitable for ensuring adequate
dispersion of the combustion products
into the atmosphere, according to the
regulations in force in the country of
installation.
The components that make up the
smoke evacuation system must be
declared suitable for the specific
operating conditions and provided
with CE marking.
