III) OPERATING INSTRUCTION

3.1 / Safety instructions

Any modification to the appliance may invalidate its certification. Consult the certificates and the documents
relative to the fittings to the appliance in order to check on the temperature class and explosion group. The
person doing the work should be authorized for ATEX work to prevent the deterioration of the mode of
protection of the equipment certified.

3.2 / Starting up

Installation and connection can only be done by qualified personnel.
The corresponding EN standards and national regulations covering the safety of appliances, as well as general
rules accepted in technical field, must be followed.

3.3 / Operation

Introduction
The Self Climat overfill prevention device allows the tank it is fitted to, to be filled to a predetermined level L1.
At this level it provides automatic and complete closing.
At this stage, it allows reopening for draining the hose and the filler pipe if necessary without risk of overflowing
(minimum drain volume: 150 liters).
Finally, it provides automatic and complete closing, without any possibility of reopening, at predetermined level
Lmax.
The Self Climat overfill prevention device can equip gravity filled or pumped installations for category 2
hydrocarbons.
