6 GETTING TO KNOW YOUR VEHICLE

TEALTH ODE F QUIPPED
Pursuit model vehicles are designed for periods
of surveillance. When the instrument panel
dimmer control, located on the left side of the
instrument panel, is rotated downward to the
O (off) position, Stealth Mode is enabled. All
interior illumination, except for the instrument
cluster display, backlighting for the door
switches, and the vehicle's critical warning
indicators, will be deactivated. The instrument
cluster display and the warning indicator lights
will dim to the lowest legal limit.
Instrument Panel Dimmer Switch
The courtesy (interior) lights are disabled when
opening a door, and will operate only by rotating
the dimmer switch fully upward, past the
detent, or by pushing each map light
individually.
NOTE:
When the vehicle is shifted into REVERSE,
Stealth Mode will be exited, in order to display
the rear view camera image. When the vehicle
is shifted out of REVERSE, the vehicle will
re-enter Stealth Mode, as long as the dimmer
control has not been adjusted.
LOAD LEVELING SYSTEM — IF EQUIPPED
The automatic Load Leveling system will adjust
the vehicle under most passenger and cargo
loading conditions, providing a level riding
experience.
A hydraulic pump contained within the shock
absorbers raises the rear of the vehicle to
the correct height. It takes approximately
1 mile (1.6 km) of driving for the leveling to
complete, depending on road surface
conditions.
If the leveled vehicle is not moved for
approximately 15 hours, the Load Leveling
system will bleed itself down. The vehicle must
be driven to reset the system.
