Supermatch 6/8 Battue

Our Battue variation has all the features of the standard Supermatch 6 model except for a few key changes that
allow you to throw battue clays dome up or down and as double battues.
Our Battue traps have a slightly different main plate, as you can see in the images below, there is a milled groove cut
into the plate leading to where the clays are fed to the drop plate. This groove means that you can place your battue
clays with either dome facing down or dome facing up, without the need to adjust the separating knives.
The battue
clays give a different presentation in the air depending on which way they are thrown, both of which are testing
targets.
The throwing arm of the battue trap has 2 rubbers incase you'd like to throw a double battue (two clays at once). To
achieve this, remove the carousel by loosening the 16mm Nylock nut on the center boss until it comes free along
with the washers. Be careful not to loose the washer situated on the underside of the carousel.
Next raise the front edges of the inner and outer knifes
(see page 4)
until they accept two battue clays height and
lock off securely. Add the carousel and tighten
(see page 3).
The trap will now fire a pair of clays that fly
simultaneously while the variance in length of the rubbers ensures the clays separate in the air to challenge the
shooter – this trap alone could occupy a stand on a sporting layout.
At Bowman we like to make our traps as versatile as possible therefore, our battue trap can be converted to throw
standard and midi clays.
To switch to standards, re-adjust the knife edges to accept the new clay height / width and remove the lower rubbers
on the arm.
Switching to midi's will require the purchase of a midi carousel. Re-adjust the knife edges to accept the new clay
height / width and remove the lower rubbers on the arm.
