1. Safety information

Important preliminary remarks and safety information pertaining to the
control units by Weber Lifttechnik GmbH
The following information for the assembly of our control units mainly contains generally valid
statements. This safety information makes no claim to completeness. Special instructions for
the handling and adjustment of the respective control unit type should be taken from the supplied
manuals.
The devices and machines used in or driven by our control units are equipment for use in high-
voltage systems. During operation, this equipment has hazardous live, moving or rotating parts.
Serious health or material damage can be caused through incorrect handling of the devices or
insufficient maintenance.
Persons responsible for the safety of the system must therefore ensure the following:
Only qualified personnel may be commissioned with working on the
devices and machines. Operating manuals and product documentation
must be available at all times and must be consistently observed during
work on the system.
Work on the devices and machines or within close proximity to these is
prohibited for unqualified personnel.
All accident prevention regulations and any further deviating or
supplementary regulations for special application areas and regional
special regulations must be observed.
All installations and settings for the electrical devices supplied by us are
to be performed by a certified electrician, or under their instruction and
supervision.
In this process, the generally valid regulations, guidelines and legislation
are to be observed, in particular also the EN and VDE (Association of
German Electricians) provisions.
