6. Function test

In order to check for correct function of the equipment against unintentional movement of the lift
car with open doors, the "TÜV Menu" can be selected on the operating panel of the Weber
control unit. The following steps are necessary for the test:
1. Select a stop and lock it. If possible, do not select the end stop.
2. If only two stops exists, then the test must be conducted upwards in the lower stop and
downwards in the upper stop.
3. In order to implement the inspection with closed doors, the safety circuit can be
interrupted by disconnecting the door contact for the duration of the test.
4. Call up the TÜV Menu of the control unit.
5. Select UCM test upwards or downwards. The test must be implemented in both
directions. For this test, a nominal speed is started in the selected direction.
6. The control unit now automatically implements the test.
7. On leaving the door zone, the bridging of the door contacts is cancelled by the safety
switching and an emergency stop is initiated.
8. For control units with absolute encoders, the distance to the flush position is indicated on
the display in mm. The distance must be measured for control units with magnetic switch
detection.
9. The lift may not independently start up again after the test or a recognised unintentional
movement. Normal operation is only then possible if the reset button has been actuated.
10. For cable lifts, the test "UCM: Brake on" can also be selected. In order to implement this
test; the S751 button, if present, may also possibly require actuation. The brake is
released for this test.
Subsequently, Points 7-9 apply.
11. After completion of the inspection, the safety circuit is to be closed again if it had been
interrupted according to Point 3.
