ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS:
GB
1.
Extent of supply: figure 1
A 1x Gate post
B 1x Frame
C 4x Adjustable bolts
D 4x Fastening plates
E 2x Connecting bolts
2.
Measure the width of the door (fig. 2a). The safety gate is suitable for door widths
from 730 mm to 850 mm (fig. 2b) without the gate post (A). The safety gate is
suitable for door widths from 850 mm to 970 mm (fig. 2c) with the gate post (A).
You can buy a gate post (A) as an extra (fig. 2d) if the width of your door is more
than 970 mm.
3.
Assemble the gate post (A) on the frame (B) first of all, if your door frame is
between 850 mm and 970 mm wide. You can fit the gate post (A) on either the left
or right side of the frame (B). Plug in the connecting bolts (E) with the longer ends
facing towards the frame (B). Now plug the gate post (A) onto the connecting
bolts (E).
4.
Plug the 4 connecting bolts (C) into the holes on the frame (B) (fig. 3).
5.
Place the safety gate in the (door) frame to which it is intended to be fastened
and then align it (fig. 4). The safety gate's frame stands above the floor covering.
Screw all of the 4 connecting screws (C) outwards until the rubber buffer touches
the door frame (fig. 5). Check whether the safety gate is sitting straight in the door
frame (fig. 5). Both of these conditions are necessary in order to ensure that the
closing mechanism can work correctly later on. When you have aligned the safety
gate, use a pencil to mark the positions at which the rubber buffer touches the
frame and then take the safety gate out of the door frame (fig. 6).
6.
Now fasten the 4 fastening screws (D) at the marked positions with the double-
sided adhesion points (figs. 7a-7b).
7.
Place the safety gate into the door frame again. Take care that the gate handle is
on the side that it is intended to secure. The gate handle must face towards the
stairs if you fasten the safety gate at the upper end of the stairs (fig. 8).
8.
Screw the rubber buffer of the 4 adjustable bolts (C) into the fastening plates (D)
(fig 9).
9.
Now tension the safety gate in the door frame with the adjustable bolts (C)
(fig. 10).
