For final testing:
Hold the steadycam with your hand and
check the forward and backwards
movement.
Hold the steadycam with your hand and
execute the horizontal panning test. You
may possibly need to repeat one of
previously described tests for fine
adjustment.
NOTE
This process takes some time and requires
patience.

7. Putting on the SteadyCam vest

Open the vest buckles on one side and put on the vest.
Close the buckles on shoulders, chest and hip.
Fit the chest and hip plate to your body by pulling the locking pin on the
chest frame towards the outside. You can now move the hip plate up or
down, as required.

NOTE
Make sure that the locking pin clicks back into place once the adjustment
has been made.
Adjust the tightness of the vest so that is
fits comfortably. If the vest feels too tight
when breathing, adjust the vest more
loosely.
Insert the pins of the spring arm into the
spring arm holder on the hip plate of the
vest.
Fasten the slide on the adapter of the
spring arm.
Check the spring tension.
Turn the spring adjustment knob to adjust
the required rigidity of the spring arm.
