Appendix Processing the ends of the coaxial cable
It is recommended that a product equivalent to the shielded 5D2VTXE (manufactured by Fujikura Densen) is used
as the transmission coaxial cable with EH-150 CPU link modules. The method of processing the ends of this cable is
explained below. Note that this chapter is only to be used as reference material. For further information, contact the
manufacturers of the cables and connectors directly. Also, refer to guidelines on soldering available on the open
market when performing all soldering tasks.
Appendix 1 Outline of coaxial cables
The recommended coaxial cable is a twin coaxial cable, and the configuration of this is the same as the
standard 5D2V coaxial cable that is fitted with a shield and wound with an external earth shown in
Appendix.1. The end processing consequently requires two procedures for the inner shield and the outer
shield. As signals are transmitted with the use of the internal semi-conductor and the inner shield with CPU
link modules, the actual shielding is performed with the outer shield.

A diagram showing an outline of the BNC plug mounted on the coaxial cable is shown in Appendix.2.
