4. Use and Settings

4.1 Interpupillary Setting (Binocular or Trinocular Models)

If you have a microscope with a binocular or trinocular head, select the
interpupillary setting by moving the eyepiece tubes vertically in order to
obtain a circular eyepiece field of view.
The setting distance, which is the distance between 2 eyepieces, varies
between 48 and 75 mm.

4.2 Diopter Adjustment (Binocular or Trinocular Models)

Diopter adjustment, with the ring placed on an eyepiece tube, allows adjusting the sharpness of your
image in your vision.
Turn the light intensity control placed at the right of the microscope above the focusing drive to obtain
the desired lighting.
Turn the diopter adjustment ring in order to obtain a sharp image.
If you wear your goggles and they don't bother you during your observations, keep them, this will limit
adjustments to a minimum.

4.3 Lenses

3 types of lenses can equip your DELio
- achromatic
- semi-planachromatic,
- planachromatic.
The lenses, correctly fitted on the turret, are of parfocal type. When changing a lens, only one focusing
adjustment using the fine control is necessary.
The lenses x 40, x 60 and x 100 come with telescopic pins (retractable), thus ensuring the protection of
the preparation in case of accidental contact with the blade observed.

4.4 Blades Protective Buffer Adjustment

Turn the turret to set the lens 60x or 100x (the longest) depending on
the model ordered in the optical path.
Raise the platinum using the coarse focusing knob as close to the end
of the lens without touching it.
Screw the screw located at the rear of the platinum until it stops after
fastening or loosening the nut.
