Rotary switch position brush
Disks which cannot be cleaned with the cleaning procedure as described above, should be re-
processed with the special circular brush. Also for new and intensive contaminated disks and/or
disks from garage sales as well as wet played disks should be processed with this function.
- Move rotary to position stop.
Install the circular brush according to its adjusting manual and fasten it with its rear
–
knurled screw.
Move rotary switch to position brush. The plate starts rotating. A slow velocity is
–
recommended (such like 2 bar graphs lit on the level indicator).
Moisten the disk with the provided pray bottle in such a way that a little wave builds up in
–
front of the circular brush. Take into account that the machines position is adjusted
horizontally. This can be done with the adjustable stands of the MERA ELB.
Using a slow velocity of the plate, the cleaning fluid remains on the disk so that it shows its
–
optimum effect. If the velocity is selected too high, the centrifugal force moves the fluid
outwards. The drum of the circular brush should touch the disks surface only smoothly.
The cleaning effect is performed through the turbulences underneath the brush.
After approximately one minute, the plate turns direction automatically.

The procedure continues until the function is interrupted by selection of another function or
–
switched off.
To terminate the brush function, move the rotary switch to position turbine.

Move the vacuum arm over the disk.
–
The disk is being vacuum cleaned.
–
Now the procedure repeats as described in "Rotary switch position turbine".

The circular brush should remain on the disk to remove fluid.

Move circular brush back into its neutral position and wait until everything is dry.The
–
machine is connected to ground earth which avoids electrostatic charge of the disk.
We recommend our X2000 fluid to fill into the tank to clean light and medium contaminated disks
in combination with the double brush lever.
The cleaning fluid VI3C has been developed for operation with the circular brush. It contains only
very few surface-active agent and has very few foaming properties. This fluid can be used in
combination with the provided spray bottle.
