Rotary switch position pump
In this position the fluid pump can be activated by pressing on the center of the digital
potentiometer (2). Use the double brush lever to moisten the disk. The pump remains activated as
long the center button is pressed.
Rotary switch position plate left
The plate starts rotating smoothly in counter clockwise direction. The velocity can be adjusted by
turning the digital potentiometer (2). The recommended speed is when 4 bar graphs are visible on
the level indicator.
For normal contaminated disks, this washing function should be running for three revolutions for
each direction.
Rotary switch position turbine
The turbine increases velocity slowly. This allows the user to move the vacuum arm over the disk.
The recommended speed is when 8 bar graphs on the level indicator are lit. The plate turns now in
a preadjusted velocity very slowly and the fluid is removed carefully from the disk. After
approximately 1.75 revolutions, the plate changes direction automatically for another 1.75
revolutions. Now disk and velvet band are dry and the rotary switch can be moved to position
plate left. The vacuum arm can be moved back into the neutral position and the rotary switch can
be moved into position stop.
The disk may be turned and the procedure can be repeated for the second side.
