CasaTunes™ CT-8S Music Server Quick Start Guide

Hardware Installation

The following describes how to connect the Music Server to an Audio Authority, Channel Vision, NuVo, Russound or
SpeakerCraft Multi-room Controller. The term Multi-room Controller will be used throughout.
Plug the included audio cables between the back of the Music Server to the appropriate Multi-room

Controller Source inputs. The 3.5mm plugs go into the Green, Black, Orange and Gray connectors on the back
of the Music Server ("Streaming Source Outputs" surrounded by green box in the figure, below) and the RCA
ends into the Multi-room Controller. The connector plugged into the green jack in the left column goes to the
source input that you will be using for the first CasaTunes player, Black for 2
4th. The right column supply players 5 through 8 in the same order.
2. Plug the supplied Serial "Control" Cable into the "Control" jack (yellow in figure, above). Plug the other end
into the control port of your Multi-room Controller.
3. Plug a Network cable into the Music Server (yellow "Ethernet", above). Plug the other end into your local
area network (LAN), with connectivity to the internet.
4. Start your Music Server by tapping on the power button on the front. (Note: all audio cables must be
plugged into the Music Server's audio jacks before starting the computer!)
5. Plug the power cord into the AC socket and turn on the Main Power Switch.
