TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem(s)
Motor will not start, or stop suddenly.
Overload trips frequently.
Band Saw vibrates excessively.
Miter cuts not accurate.
Cuts not square
Finished surface of work-piece is
rough, unsatisfactory.

Possible Cause(s)
No incoming power.
Current overload
Defective motor, switch, power cable, or plug.
Motor is overheating.
Down-feed pressure is too fast.
Motor is faulty.
Stand is on uneven surface.
Saw blade has cracks.
Too heavy a cut.
Setting of the miter stops is not correct.
Blade guides not set correctly.
Down-feed pressure too great.
90° angle stop is not set correctly.
Incorrect blade selection in relation
to work-piece.
Incorrect adjustment of blade guides
Work-piece incorrectly positioned in vise.
Poor blade tension.
Blade is dull, or its parameters are not right for
the thickness of the work piece being cut.
Down-feed pressure too great.
Blade tension too low.
Suggested Solution(s)
Check plug connection.
Release the trigger, then re-squeeze it again
Qualified electrician/service personnel should
inspect these items.
Check that motor air intakes are clear and run
without load for a short period.
Reduce down-feed pressure.
Motor should be inspected by qualified
electrician/service personnel.
Adjust stand for even support.
Replace blade immediately.
Reduce down-feed pressure and blade speed.
Adjust the stops to correct positions. Use an
adjustable square or protractor to
check angle settings.
Adjust outer bearings to contact
the blade lightly
Decrease down-feed pressure.
Adjust outer bearings to contact the
blade lightly
