2 .1 Scope of application

Caution!
Damage to the cutting mechanism!
The machine must only be used to shred
paper, CD's and DVD's .
Shredding other sorts of data carriers may
cause damage to the machine (e.g. damage
to the cutters etc.).
The intimus 175 hybrid data shredder is a machine
used for shredding general documents and data carri-
ers such CD's and DVD's.
Left-hand side of the cutting mechanism (narrow slot,
fig. 1/1): Only use for shredding CDs and DVDs!
Right-hand side of the cutting mechanism (wide slot,
fig. 1/2): Only use for shredding paper!

2 .2 Installation

1 . Unpack and set machine upright.
2 . Put a plastic bag in each receptacle.
3 . For oiler installation remove the screw (fig. 2/2)
from the oil hose (fig. 2/1).

4 . Connect the machine to the power with the plug.
