Vertical linearity If a cross-hatch pattern is displayed on the screen, equal spacing between the horizontal bars at the top and bottom of the screen indicates good linearity. However, if the horizontal bars appear to be crowded at the top of the bottom, the vertical linearity controls can be used to correct the problem.
